Job Description: Protection Engineer-Entry Level

Protection Engineer-Entry Level will involve the engineering of protective relaying and control schemes for substation, distribution, and transmission systems using computer program and through application of electrical engineering principles. Positions shall include field work assisting relay test technicians. Responsibilities shall include drawing development, relay setting preparation along with documentation and development of testing procedures.

Protection Engineer-Entry Level will afford an engineer hands-on experience with a variety of test equipment, allow working in a team environment to design, construct and commission protective relaying control schemes that protect millions of dollars worth of utility assets. State of the art equipment and techniques will be utilized to insure the security and reliability of an interconnected power system.
