Job Description : Lead Line Technician

Lead Line Technician major responsibilities for this position include:

Performs all the necessary activities in the construction and maintenance of energized and de-energized overhead and underground electric facilities.

Lead Line Technician patrols the line and checks for defective materials and/or equipment or unsafe conditions. Notifies the supervisor of problem areas.

Lead Line Technician inspects work after completion to ensure that it has been done in accordance with applicable specifications and code. Learns and complies with all safety policies, rules and regulations. Utilizes proper safety and protective equipment.

Lead Line Technician Performs, as needed, all the duties of Line Technicians and Apprentice Line Technicians. Assists the Line Supervisor with crew leadership as directed. Serves as the Line Supervisor his his/her absence. Leads a two-person crew when work load dictates. Ensures that trucks, tools, and assigned equipment are properly used and kept in good working order. This is an "ON-CALL" position.
