Job Description:Lineman-Serviceman

The successful Lineman-Serviceman must have a minimum of 5 years progressively responsible experience in the construction/maintenance of electric distribution lines (energized and de-energized), in pole climbing, and using lineman tools.

Lineman-Serviceman must have a sound knowledge of construction specifications and the National Electrical Safety Code, and be skilled in all work required in connection with the installation of materials and apparatus equipment on electric distribution lines. Must have H.S. Diploma/G.E.D., legible handwriting, and effective communications/interpersonal skills to deal with consumers, public, and co-workers. Must have valid Va. driver's license and acquire/maintain a VA DOT flagging card.

Lineman-Serviceman is able to work outside in varying weather conditions w/overtime due to emergencies and being "on call" on a scheduled basis. Climbing, stooping, bending, and lifting (50 lbs. unassisted/200 lbs. assisted) required.
