Job Description: Operations Coordinator
Objectives of Operations Coordinator
To answer outage calls, operate other automation systems,
transmit and receive radio communications and assist consumers
with service inquiries. To handle varying customer service
requests in a professional and courteous manner at all times,
promoting good will between the member, the general public
and the Cooperative. To efficiently use organization skills
to handle multiple requests during periods of high call volume
(outages, disconnect days, etc.).
Responsibilities of Operations Coordinator
Answers the telephone and handles member inquiries courteously.
When unable to answer an inquiry, assures the member that
a message will reach or be directed to the proper source and
the information will be forthcoming. Makes service interruption
reports and immediately contacts service technicians on stand-by.
> Handles radio messages to service technicians when requested.
> Maintains daily call log and log of persons entering buildings
and grounds after hours.
> Creates, files and maintains records and service memos and
other company records.
> Backs up computer for general accounting system.
> Sees that CA system back-up functions and notifies proper
authority if problem occurs.
> Enters data entry assignments.
> Operates PORCHE, SCADA and other automation systems.
> Keeps track of employees working outages.
> Makes independent decisions concerning outages and member
concerns.
> Participates in the BGE Safety Training Program.
> Keeps informed on the policies and procedures of the cooperative.
> Secures headquarters building and equipment and makes routine
visual checks.
> Scans documents for storage on Optical Disk.
> Tests and calibrates electric meters.
> Enters and maintains meter test records.
> Installs AMR transmitters in meter.
