Job Requirements:
Associates Degree in Engineering, or Business; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Must have four years combined experience performing supervision or planning the Test Technician function. Must have an Electrical Test Certificate, equivalent "protective relay testing experience", or equivalent certification. Applicants must be able to obtain and maintain access to SONGS (San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station) Protected Area (red badge) and respirator qualification. Demonstrated knowledge and application of union agreement, handling labor and diversity issues, and the ability to conduct positive interactions and communications with stewards and represented employees. Broad knowledge and experience in applying Human Resource policies, procedures, and principles, including laws, discipline, training and development, and equal opportunity. Thorough knowledge of nuclear maintenance practices and demonstrated ability to plan work control documents. Demonstrated ability to communicate ideas, concepts, and technical data verbally and in writing, with customers, subordinates, peers, and management. As an engineer in the Electrical/Controls Group within the Design Engineering Organization: work with Electrical, and Instrumentation and Control Design Engineers during conceptual design phase to model, demonstrate feasability, cost effectiveness, and sound engineering practices for proposed design changes to a nuclear power plant. Work with plant engineering, operations, and maintenance organizations in solving emerging issues affecting operability of the plant. Prepare design change packages, design calculations, specifications, and operability assessments.
